The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) will be hosting a series of member meetings across East Anglia to discuss the government’s consultation paper on future agricultural policy post-Brexit.
Cedars Hotel at Stowmarket will be hosting an event on April 18, and Writtle College on April 19, both from 8am to 10am. The NFU’s Brexit team will lead the discussions.
“As environment secretary Michael Gove has said, these proposals mark the start of a conversation, not a conclusion,” said NFU regional director Robert Sheasby. “It’s vital for farmers, the countryside and the public that we make the right decisions now - decisions that will shape the future of food production and environmental protection outside of the European Union for many years to come. I would urge NFU members to come along to one of these meetings. We want each and every to have the opportunity to have their say.” Call 01638 672100 to book a place.
