A CAMBRIDGE-BASED insurance broker's is celebrating a merger with a Bury St Edmunds firm.
Gibbs Denley says its recent merger with Ling Cook of Bury creates one of the largest independent local insurance brokers in East Anglia.
Gibbs Denley has grown steadily over the last 15 years, concentrating on the insurance needs of local business, farmers and industrialists, together with the related personal insurances.
Mark Denley, of Gibbs Denley, welcomed the new Bury link.
“Bury is a thriving town and we are pleased to have offices here,” he said.
Paul Gibbs, also of Gibbs Denley, added: Ling Cook is a strong local brand with loyal staff and customers. We wish to build on this and continue the long term success and growth of both Ling Cook and Gibbs Denley.”
Pat Ling, of Ling Cook stressed it would be business as usual for customers.
“There will not be any staff changes and both David Cook and I will remain with the business for the foreseeable future. Undoubtedly, the additional product range offered through the Gibbs Denley merger will benefit our customers.”
