The deepest container ship to dock in the UK arrived at the Port of Felixstowe at the weekend.
MSC Elenoire, which is operated by the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has a draught of 17.1 metres making it the deepest to call at a UK port.
It arrived in Felixstowe under the pilotage of Harwich Haven Authority on Sunday, December 1, having travelled from the Tanjung Pelapas in Malaysia.
The authority invested £130million to deepen the approach channel at the Port of Felixstowe from 14.5 metres to 16 metres.

There are also four deep water berths which provide access to megamax and deep draught vessels.
William Barker, marine director and harbour master for Harwich Haven Authority, said: "No other port in the UK has the depth of water to accommodate vessels with a draught of 17 metres.
"We are well prepared as our pilotage, pilot launch and support teams are both highly skilled and highly trained individuals who work hard to ensure these ships arrive safely at their destination.
"I could not be more proud of what we have achieved and I am very lucky to lead such a great team of people."
