A village primary school's "highly inclusive ethos" has been recognised as it was rated outstanding by inspectors. 

All Saints Church of England Primary School in Laxfield was visited by Ofsted on November 5 and November 6. 

The school, which is part of the All Saints Trust, was rated outstanding in all categories by Ofsted. 

"Pupils flourish in this calm and compassionate school environment. Pupils are happy and feel safe," the report said. 

"The school has a highly inclusive ethos and is ambitious for everyone. Pupils know teachers are always on hand to help if they find work tricky."

It continues: "This develops a strong sense of self-belief and empowerment in pupils.

"The school’s ambition for pupils to be ‘ready to change the world’ is embodied in many ways, one of which is the way they responsibly lead lunchtime clubs.

"The school’s curriculum is broad, interesting and ambitious. The key knowledge and vocabulary pupils need to learn and by when is clearly set out."

Staff members at the school were praised for the way they present information during lessons, how they check pupils' learning and progress and how they adapt their teaching plans. 

Inspectors said the teaching methods allow students to "achieve success" and "allows everyone to learn together".

"The school provides staff with a wide range of training to strengthen their expertise," added the report.

"Staff use this very effectively. It makes a positive difference to pupils’ learning."

Early language development and reading were also recognised by inspectors.

The school offers a range of opportunities to pupils' to enhance their development, such as trips and visits, to enhance their independence and learning.
