An inquest has been opened into the death of former Ipswich Town and England striker Trevor Whymark.
The prolific centre forward, who was capped once for his country, died on October 31 at the age of 74.
An inquest opened into his death at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Monday, during which details of his death were shared with the court.
Area coroner Yvonne Blake confirmed during a short hearing that Whymark had died at his home in the village of Alburgh, near Harleston.
The medical cause of his death was given as bronchopneumonia, with Alzheimer's and non-Hodgkin lymphoma - a form of cancer - listed as contributing factors.
The court also heard that he had been born on May 4, 1950 in Burston, near Diss.
Whymark began his career at Diss Town in the Anglian Combination League, but is best remembered for his time at the Tractor Boys.
Whymark made more than 300 appearances for the Suffolk side after being signed by Bobby Robson in 1969, finding the net 104 times.
His full inquest has been scheduled for March 31 next year, at 3pm.
