The first headline act for a series of summer concerts has been announced.
Richard Ashcroft, the frontman of rock band The Verve, will be performing at Newmarket Nights on Friday, June 27.
He was one of the most recognisable performers of the nineties with the group's breakthrough album Urban Hymns selling over 10 million copies worldwide.
As a solo artist Richard Ashcroft released multiple top albums including the number one debut Alone With Everybody.
The singer is set to perform with Oasis on their sold-out tour next year.

Tickets for Richard Ashcroft at Newmarket Racecourse go on presale at 10am on Wednesday, December 4 with a general sale starting at 10am on Friday, December 6.
