An Ipswich Town star has told her girlfriend she is "absolutely smashing it" while she takes part in a hit ITV show. 

During last night's I'm A Celebrity, GK Barry received the message from home from her mum, dad and girlfriend Ella Rutherford.

Reverend Richard Cole read out the letter to the 25-year-old as the remaining contestants heard from their loved ones outside the jungle. 

In the letter the town winger said: "I thought I couldn’t love you anymore than I already do but seeing you with a huntsmen spider on your head has really done it.

"You’re absolutely smashing it, beautiful. I can’t wait to see you and give you a big kiss. You’re making us all proud." 

The letter left GK Barry teary eyed as other camp mates received their letters from home.

Before the show started Rutherford, who joined Town in the summer from Charlton Athletic, shared a post on Instagram, wishing GK Bary good luck in the jungle. 

She captioned the photo "My little jungle babe".
