Jobs for a new B&M store in a Suffolk market town have been advertised.

The budget retailer is taking over the former B&Q store in the Woodhall Business Park in Sudbury.

Now the company is advertising roles for the new shop on its website.

It is currently looking to hire staff for both their management and supervisor teams.

Earlier this month, 'coming soon' signs for B&M appeared on the building with machinery and containers also seen outside the shopfront.

B&M has confirmed the new store will open on Thursday, January 23 with the mayor of Sudbury, Alison Owen, describing the opening as "very good news".

She said: "It’s proof, if anyone needs it, that Sudbury is a place to invest in and to build businesses. It’s a great town with a highly motivated workforce.

"This is very good news for everyone in the town, and especially our young people.

"It’s also a much-needed boost for Sudbury at a time when so many jobs at the Homebase store appear to be hanging in the balance."

It comes as Homebase in Sudbury looks set to close after it was not included in a list of stores that have been saved by The Range following a deal to keep some shops open.
