A fish and chip takeaway has shared its new opening date after being hit with previous delays. 

Rumbles Fish Bar was initially due to open on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury St Edmunds in September. 

However the owners took to social media to announce the opening of the Slater Avenue takeaway was delayed due to "circumstances beyond control".

In a new update it has been revealed Rumbles Fish Bar will be holding its grand opening on Monday, December 2.

The fish and chip shop is located next to the estate's newest Sainsbury's Local supermarket, which opened earlier this year. 

It created 20 jobs for the local area and partnered with Gatehouse Food Bank to ensure customer donations and surplus food can be redistributed to members of the community in need.

Both businesses form part of the Lark Grange estate in the west Suffolk town which will comprise of more than 350 homes once completed.
