A shopping precinct owned by East of England Co-op has been given a £50k makeover - thanks to a grant.
Henley Rise in Ipswich contains a Co-op food store, a hairdresser's, a baker's, launderette, post office, pharmacy and fish and chip shop.
It has benefited from Ipswich Borough Council and the government's Towns Fund and Shop Grant Scheme.
East of England Co-op chief property officer Stuart McDonald said: “Thanks to the incredible support from Ipswich Borough Council and the Towns Fund and Shop Grant Scheme, we’ve been able to invest a fantastic £50k into our Henley Rise shopping precinct.
"This renovation is not just about our food store, it’s enabled us to rejuvenate the entire area for our tenants and visitors too.”
Ipswich Borough Council was awarded £2.4m as part of the government’s Towns Fund to improve local shopping parades in Ipswich.
The aim is to encourage more people to visit and benefit the economy, to boost economic productivity and support sustainable growth.
Works at Henley Rise were carried out by local contractors Ashford Wright - including freshly-painted storefronts, new street furniture, improvements to the car park and landscaping.
Ipswich Borough Council leader Neil MacDonald said: "The transformation of Henley Rise shopping parade is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when local authorities, businesses, and government funding work hand in hand.
"This investment not only enhances the space for businesses but also creates a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
"It’s a boost for our local economy and a step towards creating sustainable, thriving communities in Ipswich."
