A man was left with a serious head injury after a fight in a west Suffolk town.
The altercation occurred in St Mary’s Square in Newmarket at sometime between 5pm and 5.30pm on Thursday October 31.

The victim was reportedly approached by white male in their late 20s, who was unknown to him.
A police spokesman said an altercation broke out between the two men and the victim sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital.

Officers are now investigating the incident as a case of grievous bodily harm.
