An office building in a Suffolk village could become a four-bedroom home in plans before a council.

An application to determine if prior approval is needed for the change of use of Trident House in Overgang Road, Semer, has been submitted to Babergh District Council.

The building, next to Cosford Rise, would not require any external alterations to enable its change of use and would be converted with one 'wing' of the current building comprising of a kitchen, living and dining space in an open plan setting.

The other 'wing' would contain four bedrooms, three double and one single, and one would have an ensuite.

An entrance door and lobby, bathroom and a home office would also be included.

The proposal utilises existing vehicular access and parking.

The site is a purpose-built office constructed in 2019 and has been used continuously by Trident Marketing Anglia Ltd for more than 3 years.

A statement before the council reads: "Considering the preceding assessment, the proposed development is found to qualify as permitted development."

The plan is with Babergh District Council for consideration.
