A community drop-in event to help an east Suffolk town prepare for potential flooding is set to be held at the end of this month.
Government body the Environment Agency is inviting residents in Framlingham and "the River Ore catchment communities" to the Castle Community Rooms, in Church Street, Framlingham, between 3.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday, November 29.
The aim of the drop-in is to help the community prepare for a potential repeat of the Storm Babet flooding in October 2023, which resulted in Framlingham's mere overflowing and roads, homes and businesses being inundated with brown water.

Visitors to the event will be able to speak to representatives of the agency, Suffolk County Council, district councils and local community groups about ways to reduce the impact of flooding on households or businesses.
They will also be able to find out about Property Flood Resilience measures, emergency planning and Riparian ownership, which refers to somebody who has a watercourse running beneath, through or on the border of their land.
The agency's staff have been cutting back overhanging or overgrown vegetation to ensure watercourses can cope with the normal winter flows.
