A town council in Suffolk announced that it "may need to cancel" its Christmas lights switch-on event.
Framlingham's Christmas event was scheduled for Saturday, promising dedicated time with Father Christmas and free entry to the castle for residents.
It comes after Aldeburgh Town Council has said the lights turn-on event which was expected to take place in the town on Saturday will now no longer go ahead.
Framlingham Town Council said it had to look at cancelling ahead of weather warnings for Storm Bert, forecasted for this weekend.
The social media post read: "We will be monitoring the weather conditions and will provide an update on whether the event will go ahead or not as soon as we can.
"We understand that cancelling would be disappointing, but people's safety must be our main concern.
"Thank you for your understanding & please keep your fingers crossed that the weather forecast improves. "
The Met Office hasn't issued weather warnings for Suffolk but has warned of strong winds hitting the county. Yellow and amber warnings are in place for the south and the north.
