A man has been taken to hospital after a house fire broke out in an east Suffolk village.
Emergency services were called to Thorn Walk in Sutton Heath, near Woodbridge, at about 2pm on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said one ambulance was sent to the scene in the village and a man was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Ipswich and Woodbridge fire stations were sent to tackle the blaze.
However, when they arrived a request was sent for additional resources - including an aerial platform, a water carrier and a command support unit, a fire service spokesman confirmed.
Nearby roads were also closed off while emergency services attended the scene.
The man's condition is not known at this time.
