A man has been fined more than £1,000 after he was caught driving while disqualified.
Julian Notley, 73 and of Elm Farm Barn, near Bury St Edmunds, was stopped by officers while driving a blue Ford Focus on the A143 in Depden on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Notley was found to be driving while disqualified from holding a driving licence.
He was also found to be driving without insurance.
The 73-year-old pleaded guilty to both offences at Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich on October 17.
He was disqualified from the roads for 12 months.
Notley was fined £1,083, this included £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £433.
He was ordered to pay it in monthly instalments from the start of November.
There was no separate penalty for the second offence.
