The Met Office has released a weather warning for snow and ice in Suffolk.
Snow showers are due to develop during Tuesday evening and continue overnight into Wednesday morning, forecasters have predicted.
Some lying snow is likely with 2-3cm in places and a risk of 10cm or more over higher ground. Ice could also form on untreated services.
The showers may be heavy at times and accompanied by lightning.
Snowy conditions can cause delays and make driving conditions dangerous so road closures and delays are possible, the weather warning has suggested.
Railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by train services.
It is advised to allow extra time for journeys and to plan alternative routes.
Icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths will be likely so people are being urged to be careful as this can cause injuries from slips and falls.
This could also result in some short term loss of power and other services.
As this is a yellow Met Office warning, it means it has medium likelihood.
