West Suffolk care home residents took a trip down memory lane with a visit to a war museum.
The residents of Care UK's Kentford Manor in Newmarket visited the Duxford Imperial War Museum to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The trip included a guided tour of the museum, where the residents could view war memorabilia and share their own Second World War experiences.
Among the visitors was 91-year-old Tony Harrington, who was evacuated to Devon at the age of six and later served as an aerial photographer with the RAF in Belfast.
Mr Harrington said: “A great moment for me was seeing the Avro Lancaster aircraft.
"When I was an photographer these planes were used to carry out surveys and maps.
"It was amazing to see it all at Duxford."
Kat Rayment, general manager at Kentford Manor, said: “At Kentford Manor, we’re passionate about creating enriching experiences for residents that bring joy and stimulate meaningful memories.
“This visit to the Duxford Imperial War Museum was not only a chance for residents to reconnect with history, but also to share their own stories from a time that shaped so many lives."
