Suffolk will be hosting a royal visitor today as Princess Anne is expected to visit various locations.

People may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of royalty as the Princess Royal travels around the county on Tuesday.

According to the Royal Family's online diary, Anne will visit the Suffolk Punch Trust at Sink Farm in Hollesley, near Woodbridge.

Earlier this year she had to cancel her trip to the farm due to a helicopter fault.

She will then travel to Lowestoft to open the Gull Wing Bridge.

The opening of the new 345-metre bridge - which was built on behalf of Suffolk County Council by civil engineering contractor Farrans Construction - has been a congestion-busting success.

The Princess Royal is also expected to attend the Substance Misuse Support Network Strategy meeting at Peter O'Sullevan House outside of Newmarket.

Her Royal Highness is also expected to be back in Newmarket next month on December 11 when she will visit a carol concert at Tattersalls in the town.

On December 12, she is expected to be back in Newmarket to attend a beneficiaries Christmas luncheon at Newmarket Racecourse.

Timings of events are not released by the Royal Family for security reasons.
