A Suffolk charity has celebrated its clients' rehabilitation successes.
Headway Suffolk, a charity that supports people with neurological conditions, held its annual awards evening on Wednesday, November 13.
The event, dubbed the 'Headway Suffolk Oscars', saw four clients recognised for their outstanding progress in rehabilitation.
The awards were presented by Liz Harsant, chair of Suffolk County Council.
Brendan Wren from the Bury St Edmunds hub was commended for his improvement in rehabilitation and his dedication to the charity.
Lisa Grant, from the Ipswich hub, was recognised for her increased independence following a stroke.
Adam Smith, who receives home care support, was awarded for his progress in mobility, having transitioned from wheelchair use to walking with support.
Richard Martin, who attended Headway post-stroke, was acknowledged for his phased return to work.
The evening also saw the presentation of the CEO prize, which is awarded to the staff member who has shown the most care over the past year.
Helen Fairweather, chief executive, said: “It's always very hard to consider which member of staff to award this to, but Chelsea Cleary has shown remarkable care, putting her clients before herself."
