A former west Suffolk hairdressing salon which was closed two months ago could become a home if plans before the district council are given the go-ahead.
Applicant Mrs A Largent has submitted a prior approval application to West Suffolk Council for the change of use of The Cutting Room in The Street in Stanton to become one home.
The application, which was received on Monday, November 11, states the business ceased trading and closed in September this year.
The proposed change of use would create a single-bedroom home with around 70 square metres of floorspace.
A statement before the council said the proposed change of use would not increase the floorspace at the existing building.
They said the use as a home would "replace the daily vehicular traffic associated with the existing hairdressers with that of one dwelling."
It continues to state: "With regards to parking provision, the proposals would utilise the existing parking area serving the hairdressers which provides six parking spaces."
The plans are with West Suffolk Council for consideration and a decision will be made at a later date.
