They then carried out a drug sweep of the park and the playground.
Drug paraphernalia was then found and disposed of by police, a spokesman for the force said.
Officers say they also carried out residential visits in the area where they spoke to vulnerable individuals.
A person was also stopped and searched under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act but there were no arrests made during the patrol.
They are asking anyone sees anything suspicious in the area to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
