A former solicitors' office could be transformed into a dozen new homes if plans before a Suffolk council are given the green light.
Ipswich Borough Council received plans on Wednesday which suggest that the building at numbers 31 to 41 in Elm Street, on the corner with Curriers Lane, could become 12 flats.
The site, last used as offices for Gotelee Solicitors, is opposite Saint Mary at the Elms Church, and a short distance from Suffolk Magistrates' Court.
If approved, these 12 new flats would be spread across three storeys.
Four flats would be located on the ground floor, five would be created on the first floor, and the remaining three would be found on the second floor.
The homes would provide a range of one, two and three-bedroom properties. The flats would also have access to a courtyard.
Ipswich Borough Council sets an automatic eight-week target for a decision and this application has been given a date of January 9.
