One of Ipswich Town's star players joined crowds in the town centre for the launch of this year's Christmas lights.
The Tractor Boys' Massimo Luongo and chair and chief executive Mark Ashton joined in the fun on the town's Cornhill on Sunday evening.
The wet weather did not deter crowds from gathering to enjoy an array of events including a performance from the cast of Jack and the Beanstalk, who are appearing at the town's Regent theatre.
There was further live musical entertainment before Ipswich mayor Elango Elavalakan switched on the lights at 6.45pm.
He said: "As Mayor of Ipswich, it’s a true delight to see our town come alive with the magic of Christmas. The annual lights switch-on is a highlight for all of us, bringing joy and festive cheer to our community.
"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the incredible team behind the scenes who work tirelessly to bring this event to life. Their dedication ensures that Ipswich shines bright this holiday season.
"Wishing everyone seasons greeting during the festive season."
In 2023, hundreds of people packed into the Cornhill for the Christmas lights, which were switched on by the then Ipswich mayor Lynne Mortimer.

Councillor Jane Riley, the borough council's portfolio holder for culture and customers, said: “The Christmas lights switch-on is always a magical time for Ipswich and we’re thrilled to welcome the community back for this year’s celebration.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate our town and light up the festive season with joy and excitement for all ages."
The Christmas lights can also be enjoyed at a Blue Badge drive through event on December 1 between 6pm and 9pm.
