A consultation has been launched as the plans for a new secondary school in a Suffolk town have been revealed.
Ormiston Sudbury Academy is seeking planning permission for its new site.
The proposal would include the demolition of the existing school building and the construction of a new main building.
As well as this, the redevelopment would include the formation of a multi use games area.
A replacement sports block will be built and be made available for visitors school hours.
The plans also revise the number of parking spaces for staff and visitors and designs for recreational space, landscaping, drainage and parking areas.
A spokesman for the school said: "We would like to invite local residents and stakeholders to contribute their ideas for the proposed redevelopment of Ormiston Sudbury Academy School by completing the form on the contact page on this website and attending a public consultation event at the school on November 26 2024 from 3.15 pm to 7pm."
The school, in Tudor Road, was selected for funding in July 2022, when the Conservatives were in power, and last year it was revealed that the new building could be started September 2025.
MP for South Suffolk, James Cartlidge, said he was "delighted" that the school was selected for funding in July, and that it would be a "major multi-million pound public investment in Sudbury".
In response to a written question from Mr Cartlidge, Stephen Morgan, parliamentary under-secretary (Department for Education), confirmed the project is in the procurement stage and added that planning permission on track to be submitted by the end of the year.
Mr Morgan also confirmed works to the secondary school are estimated to start in summer 2025 with a planned handover around 2028.
The final plans are currently being prepared by the school and Ormiston Academies Trust with the proposed development intended to support the school for future years.
