More than 1,200 smoking products have been seized in raids in premises in Ipswich and Stowmarket. 

Sniffer dog Skye was among the team to uncover packets of illegal cigarettes, hand rolling tobacco and vapes.

Trading Standards seized over 1,200 packets of tobacco and 270 vapes as part of 'Operation CeCe.'

(Image: Suffolk Trading Standards)This is a joint operation between National Trading Standards and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) which is a strategy to disrupt the illegal tobacco market. 

The tobacco products are suspected to be illegally imported into the UK without duty being paid and do not comply with legal packaging and labelling requirements. 

Also some of the seized items are suspected counterfeits of popular brands.
