Plans for a 100-home development in a village near Mildenhall have taken a big step forward after officers gave the final sign-off.
The plans for West Row were initially given outline planning permission in March last year subject to a further reserved matters application detailing the development’s appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.
These details were submitted in November of the same year by Edmundham Developments, a limited liability partnership between Lovell Partnerships and the county council, but had to be amended to address feedback.
The updated proposals were finally signed off by planning officers at West Suffolk Council on Monday.
The approved plans include 100 homes, 30 of which are affordable, to be built on land to the east of Beeches Road in West Row.
Also approved were a parish council office, car parking, and green infrastructure such as amenity space.
A statement submitted alongside the proposals said developing the site would ‘create a high-quality, well-designed scheme and environment’.
A contribution totalling around £750,000 has also been agreed between the developer and the council to provide highways, transport, education, health, and library infrastructure.
The overall scheme was supported by the parish council but also received four objections from residents.
