An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who failed to attend his sentencing after he was caught carrying an air gun and a knife in Needham Market.
Matlen Garrett, 21, of Woodcroft Close, Annitsford in Nothumberland, did not attend his hearing at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on Tuesday.
Garrett previously denied the offence of possessing an air pistol in Needham Market whether loaded or not on February 2 this year.
However, he was convicted of this offence after a trial.
The defendant had also denied keeping a serrated kitchen knife in his car glove box on the same day, but he was convicted of this charge too.
A warrant for his arrest was issued by the court for his failure to attend the hearing.
