A man from Bury St Edmunds has been given a suspended jail term after being caught by police with a knife.
Rokas Mazieka, 23, of Reeve Close in the west Suffolk town, was found with a kitchen knife in Samson Road.
Mazieka was before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on Tuesday for sentencing after admitting the offence.
The knife was confiscated, magistrates at the court heard.
The defendant was handed a 16-week jail sentence.
However, the term was suspended for 12 months.
