An inquest into the death of a man who went missing near Debenham in May has now concluded.
On Friday, the inquest into the death of Donovan Dinnie-Weall was brought to a close at Suffolk Coroners’ Court in Ipswich.
Father-of-four Mr Dinnie-Weall died earlier this year on May 3, aged 46.
Previously, the court heard that police had been searching the village of Pettaugh, around three miles from Debenham, after Mr Dinnie-Weall failed to return home and was reported missing by his partner.
He was discovered in nearby woodland area and pronounced dead at the scene just before 10pm.
On Friday, the court heard that Mr Dinnie-Weall had lived with “significant and longstanding” mental health difficulties for a number of years.
In January, he had sought help from Wellbeing Suffolk, an organisation which provides a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression or stress.
Notes from clinicians show that Mr Dinnie-Weall scored highly on questionnaires surveying his levels of depression.
He said he found the positive wellbeing course helpful, but did not respond to group booking links for cognitive behavioural therapy.
The decision was made to discharge Mr Dinnie-Weall on April 19, with the understanding that he could re-engage at any time.
Mr Dinnie-Weall died two weeks later.
Assistant coroner for Suffolk Dr Daniel Sharpstone recorded that Mr Dinnie-Weall took his own life.
