A pre-school has been given the go-ahead to extend part of its premises so it can offer more places to children.
The proposals will see a single-storey modular building erected at Hadleigh Parkside Pre-School in Pykenham Way.
In plans submitted to Babergh District Council at the start of October, the school said it wanted to enhance its offering for babies aged between 0 and 2.
A planning statement said there is "insufficient nurseries" for babies in the area.
It adds: "The additional space will be used by the nursery for a baby room, enabling Hadleigh Park Pre-school to offer space for twelve babies."
The new modular building will consist of a baby room, baby sleep area, kitchen, toilet and store area.
The community voiced their praised for the development, with Hadleigh Town Council stating they "fully support" the plans.
One resident said: "As a local Hadleigh parent of two young children, I believe this extension is very much needed."
Another said: "This facility would provide a much needed addition to the community and offer childcare in an age group that requires provision locally."
