Plans to convert former town centre offices into three new apartments have been given the green light by a council.
West Suffolk Council approved the Prior Approval Application for 190, High Street in Newmarket at the end of October.
Applicant Jin Dosanjh, who owns the building, sought permission for the conversion of the former office block into three one-bedroom apartments.
The site is currently empty and, according to a statement before the council, was formerly used as "part of a professional service offering VA/data entry for public services".
It stated the site was currently offices split across three floors, allowing for a "simple conversion" of each floor into residential.
It added: "Due to the design being confined to internal alterations there will be little to no impact of the outstanding characteristics of the building."
While the council's conservation officer said the building was of "local importance", they did not object as there were no changes to the building's street-facing side.
The Jockey Club requested that, if approved, the works teams liaise with the racehorse trainer at the nearby Stockbridge Stables concerning the timing of any noisy work.
Prior approval was granted on October 29.
