A successful Suffolk company employing more than 200 people has been bought out by its managers.
Taylor Made Joinery Interiors was snapped up in a management buyout (MBO) 43 years after it was founded by James Taylor.
Skilled workers at the family-owned company - based at Bildeston, near Hadleigh - have applied their craft to a variety of high-profile projects - including Windsor Castle, the 2012 Olympic Park, the Royal Opera House, Bloomberg’s London HQ and the Millennium Ceiling at St Edmundsbury Cathedral
The MBO was led by contracts manager Tim Coll - who becomes the company's new managing director - Sarah Warren, and Kevin Pryke. James Taylor becomes chairman.
The management team said they plan to drive the business forward while maintaining the core values that have contributed to its success over the past four decades.
Founder Mr Taylor welcomed the deal. “After building TMJ for the past four decades, I am pleased the company legacy will continue," he said.
"This is an exciting opportunity for the Management Team and I look forward to supporting them as they navigate through this evolution.”
Mr Coll said: “Our goal is to build on the strong foundation laid out by James Taylor. We are excited to enhance our services and continue investing in our talented team, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”
