Bury St Edmunds residents gathered in the town centre this weekend, joined by ex-servicemen and women as well as serving personnel, to mark Remembrance Sunday.
On November 10, a Remembrance Parade and wreath laying service was held on Angel Hill.
Units led by the RAF Honington Voluntary Band exited the Abbey Gardens at 10.40am and formed at the War Memorial to lay wreaths.
The group then marched to St Mary's Church for a Service of Commemoration.
Angel Hill, Chequer Square and Crown Street were closed from 10am to 2pm on the day, and the Abbey Gardens were also closed to the public until 2pm.
Councillor Pat Hanlon, Chair of West Suffolk Council, said: “West Suffolk has long been home to many who served in the military, including those who tragically did not return.
"The area continues to have a significant number of serving military personnel who are part of our families, neighbours and friends.
"Remembrance services were held throughout West Suffolk, providing communities the opportunity to honour and remember the fallen, as well as those who have been involved in conflicts over the years.
"It was heartening to see people of all ages wearing their poppies, attending these ceremonies and participating in the two-minute silence.
"I would like to extend my gratitude to all the military organisations and the Royal British Legion, as well as the current serving personnel and veterans, whose participation in these events ensures that the sacrifices made, and those that continue to be made, for our freedoms are never forgotten," he added.
A service held in Haverhill saw a parade start from Haverhill Arts Centre car park proceed along Helions Walk and Duddery Hill into the High Street.
It paused on Market Square and continued on to the Withersfield Road cemetery for a service led by the Rev Max Drinkwater of St Mary’s Church, Haverhill.
