A pub in a village which was described by its landlord of 13 years as having one big "family" has now been listed for sale after its closure earlier this year.

The Black Tiles pub in Martlesham closed down in February as landlord Adrian Carr announced the business never recovered from the "eye-watering loss of trade" during Covid pandemic lockdowns along with the rising price of products, tripling energy bills and general cost of living.

The pub, which was taken over by Mr Carr in 2011, has now been listed on Rightmove by Savills for £650,000.

The listing explains the site is situated over two floors with a bar area, restaurant, garden room, lounge bar coffee shop and kitchen.

The brick-walled pub is located in Black Tiles Lane, which is just off the A12 - giving it easy access to customers and restocking services.
