A drive-thru Costa coffee shop which had plans approved more than a year ago has now confirmed its opening dates in a west Suffolk town business park.
The British coffee chain has confirmed that it will open its new drive-thru store in Suffolk Business Park in Bury St Edmunds in mid-December.
This comes after a nearly year and a half wait since plans for the store were agreed upon by the district council in March 2023.
The branch was initially expected to open alongside a new McDonald's, but instead the 24-hour McDonald's restaurant opened in October.
A spokesman for Costa confirmed the opening of the new store would take place in the next few weeks.
The spokesman said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new Costa Coffee store at Suffolk Business Park in Bury St Edmunds in mid-December.
"We can’t wait to welcome in the local community to enjoy their favourite coffees and food items.”
