Suffolk and the rest of East Anglia have been named among Valais and Bavaria as one of the best regions to travel to in 2025.
The list compiled by Lonely Planet pays particular attention to the "soul-soothing soundtrack" of the birds at RSPB Minsmere, a popular tourist attraction on the Suffolk coast.
Lonely Planet's list features regions such as Lowcountry, South Carolina and Georgia, The Terai, Chiriquí, Launceston and the Tamar Valley, Valais, Giresun and Ordu, Bavaria, Jordan Trail, Mount Hood and Columbia River Gorge and, of course, East Anglia.

Nods to our region include the quirky market towns with unusual shops and a "real community vibe".
The travel guide also followed up and mentioned the beaches, piers, medieval villages and Constable country as the best things to do while staying in East Anglia.
The guide mentions visiting the University of Cambridge and experiencing the nightlife in Norwich as other activities in the area.
