The new Ipswich Lidl supermarket on the Anglia Retail Park is set to open its doors to shoppers on November 28.
This paper understands some staff have been told the date and that a marketing campaign to highlight its opening is expected to start soon.
The store was built by council-owned Ipswich Borough Assets (IBA) which owns the Anglia Retail Park and was handed over to Lidl during the summer.
It is one of 10 new stores across the country being opened by the German-owned discount retailer in the run-up to Christmas.
Building the store on the site of the former B&Q garden centre at the retail park hasn't been easy, it is opening about a year later than originally hoped.
But its completion does mean that the Anglia Retail Park is now fully-occupied and has become one of the busiest shopping centres in the town.
