Plans have been submitted for a new community shop, post office and café in a village.
Felsham and Gedding Community Store Limited has lodged plans with Mid Suffolk District Council for land adjacent to the village hall in Church Road, Felsham, between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
It follows the go-ahead given for previous plans in May 2021, but expired earlier this year.
The current shop and post office, run by a community benefit society, is located in an extension to a nearby house.
A design and access statement said a new shop will help to protect its future.

Additional storage for the village hall has been incorporated in the designs.
"The proposed café will be used in conjunction with the village hall when there are functions and as an additional meeting space," a planning statement said.
"It is envisaged that this will enable the village hall to become more of a community hub."
A glazed link connecting the new building to the existing hall would be created.
It is hoped the plans will allow for the village hall to become a welcoming community hub.
