Next week, several abnormal loads are scheduled to come through Suffolk, potentially causing disruption on the A12. Here are five motorists should be aware of.
1. Felixstowe Docks
When: Monday, November 4 at 9am
An abnormal load weighing 44000kg will travel from Quy Water Bridge to Dyke Road, Felixstowe docks.
The load will travel on local roads until the A1303, before taking the A14, A154 and other local roads to the docks.
2. Sizewell C
When: Wednesday, November 6 at 9am
A 75000kg load travelling from Hemel Hempstead to Sizewell C will take the A12 on the Essex border to the A14 before travelling on the A12 again, the B1122, Lover's Lane and local roads to Sizewell C.
3. Sizewell TCA
When: Wednesday, November 6 at 9am
Taking the A14 on the Cambridge border, the A11, A47, A146, A143, A146, A1145, A12, B1122, and Lovers Lane to site, a 120000kg load will cross through Suffolk.
4. Fox's Marina
When: Wednesday, November 6 at 10.30am
An abnormal load weighing 38000kg will travel from Harwich International Port to Fox's Marina in Ipswich.
The load will take local roads, East Dock Road, Station Road, the A120, A12, A14, A137, Contraflow, B1456 and then local roads to the marina.
5. Sizewell C
When: Thursday, November 7 at 9am
An abnormal load travelling from Hemel Hempstead to Sizewell C will come through Suffolk this week.
The 75000kg load will travel via the A12 Essex border, up the A14, A12, B1122, Lover's Lane and local roads to reach Sizewell C.
