There are heavy delays in a west Suffolk town as a week of repairs on two major roads has begun.

Traffic signals have been put in place along the A1011 Field Road, near Mildenhall, and the A142 Ely Road, near Ely, causing heavy delays around the two towns.

The disruption along A1011 Field Road is due to traffic signals being put in place for repairs being carried out by Anglian Water, which will last until November 6.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes if possible.
