A youth photography contest has been launched with a half-term workshop.
Fourteen young people, aged 11 to 17, attended the event at the Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds on Monday.
The workshop, organised by Bury Abbey Rotary Club, was led by local photographer and sculptor Nigel Kaines, with help from members of the Bury Photographic Society.
Participants captured creative images in the Guildhall Garden and the Tudor Kitchen, focusing on the theme, Wonderful Water, exploring where nature and water meet.
The workshop, supported by a grant from Bury St Edmunds Town Council, marked the beginning of the national Rotary Young Photographer competition.
This contest is open to any young person aged 11 to 17.
All workshop participants have been encouraged to submit their photos for the Wonderful Water-themed competition.
The Bury Abbey Rotary Club welcomes entries from all young people in the age group.
Interested participants need to submit an original image via email, along with an entry form.
