A new restaurant has opened in Newmarket town centre.
Potro Lounge opened its doors at 58 High Street on Wednesday, September 4.
Owned by Loungers plc, which runs other Suffolk restaurants including Prado Lounge in Sudbury and Edmundo Lounge in Bury St Edmunds, the new restaurant opened in the former Barclays Bank and created 30 jobs for the community.
It is open all day, serving a breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu as well as drinks.
There is also a full kids’, gluten-free and vegan menu.
Ahead of the opening in September, Gemma Irwin, head of community at The Lounges, said: "We’re passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and to playing our part at the heart of Newmarket’s food and drink scene."
The menus include everything from smashed avocado brunches to prawn and chorizo orzo pasta, as well as tapas which comes in a board deal of three dishes for £13.75.
Potro Lounge Newmarket is open from 9am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and 9am to 12am Friday and Saturday.
