A woman has been arrested following a house fire in Brandon, Suffolk.
Fire crews from Brandon and Mildenhall, as well as Methwold, Thetford and Downham Market, were called to Sweden Place at 6.31pm on Tuesday, October 29 to reports of a blaze.
On arrival, firefighters found the front door was alight, and this was extinguished using one hose-reel jet by firefighters in breathing apparatus.
While they initially believed people were inside the home, it was established this was not the case and all occupants were accounted for.
One person was treated at the scene by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.
The fire incident was declared closed at 9.07pm.
Following the blaze, Suffolk Police have confirmed they are investigating for suspected arson.
A police spokesperson said: "It was reported that the front door and letterbox of a premises in Sweden Place was damaged yesterday evening (Tuesday 29 October).
"A woman aged in her 40s has been arrested in connection to the incident, on suspicion of arson.
"She was taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where she remains."
