Entries are now open for the Energy Innovation Award, sponsored by National Grid, at the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025

This category will recognise innovations that significantly enhance energy efficiency or reduce energy consumption.

From businesses to local communities, there are countless people actively looking at their green credentials, and this award will celebrate those who are meeting their environmental commitments in a way that hasn’t been seen before.

The category is open to any individual or organisation that can showcase an energy innovation that is both unique and groundbreaking.

Specifically, the judges will be looking for entries that demonstrate a novel and scalable approach with measurable results in reducing environmental impact, while actively engaging key stakeholders.

Entrants will be expected to demonstrate how their innovation can be scaled or applied across other industries or regions, thereby maximising its impact.

They will also need to show how they have actively involved energy providers, consumers or other stakeholders in their innovation.

Critically, anyone entering this category must be able to evidence a reduction in energy consumption or improved energy efficiency, demonstrating measurable outcomes.

If you believe your energy innovation is worthy of recognition, submit your entry by midnight on December 15 at cleanandgreenawards.co.uk

About the sponsor

National Grid sits at the heart of Britain’s energy system. Its individual companies run the networks and infrastructure that connect millions of people to the electricity they use every day.

These businesses own and develop the high voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales, and the electricity distribution network in the Midlands, South West England and South Wales.

Operating separately, National Grid Ventures focuses on competitive markets, investing in energy projects, technologies and partnerships such as electricity interconnectors.

National Grid brings energy to life, with an ambition to serve customers well, support the communities in which it operates, and make possible a clean, affordable and resilient energy network of the future.
