A rugby club has slammed "mindless vandalism" that has left its private pitches dug up and covered in dog poo.
The damage happened at Beccles Rugby Club when a dog walker was spotted letting his dog deliberately dig a hole by one of the goalposts.
Despite the spacious Beccles Common Park being just five minutes away, the club's pitches remain a popular spot for out-of-place pet exercise.
A spokesman for Beccles Rugby Club said: "Unfortunately, a person has been spotted letting their dog damage one of our pitches.
"This person deliberately stood by their dog letting it dig a large hole near the try line on Pitch Two.

"To let your dog do this on any kind of sports pitch is mindless vandalism and ultimately costs others in your community.
"Please think about where you exercise your dog and how it will affect others."
The incident last Friday comes after the club took to social media in September when their volunteers were forced to clean up a spate of dog waste left across their pitches - which are heavily signed as spaces not fit for dog walking.
"A reminder that our pitches are for rugby, not for dog walking," a club spokesman said at the time.

"In recent weeks we have had to remove dog excrement off of our pitches multiple times, this is simply not on.
"Our pitches are used by people of all ages for training and playing and the last thing they need is to get tackled into a present left by your dog."
The club's first team plays in Eastern Counties Greene King Division One North and are currently top of the league ahead of Lakenham Union.
