A saviour may have been found for a popular Suffolk fish and chip shop, which closed down a few months ago after 40 years in business.
Felixstowe man Alper Tekin has announced on social media site Facebook that he is hoping to reopen the Orwell Fish Bar, in Orwell Road, Felixstowe, which closed in May when the previous owners retired due to family commitments.
The business was believed to have started in the 1980s and had been operated by the previous owners for around 25 years.

Announcing the closure, they said: "It is with regret we announce the closure of Orwell Fisheries with immediate effect.
"We will both be retiring due to family commitments."
Mr Tekin said: "After decoration, cleaning and changing menu we will be opening our doors to our customers."

He added he was looking to recruit three or four full time staff and "at least" six to eight part time employees.
However, this newspaper understands that Mr Tekin is still in legal discussions to secure ownership of the former Orwell Fish Bar, but was hopeful that it would be completed without a hitch.
When the fish bar closed, a number of posters took to Facebook to express their sadness at the news.
One said: "Thank you for the years you have been open without fail.
"This chip shop is a childhood memory that my late dad always took us to as a treat. Happy retirement."
