London Stansted has announced that a new route will be added to its departure boards next spring.

The airport has revealed that Transavia will launch flights to Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2025.

The Dutch carrier will initially operate four flights a week starting from April, increasing to five flights during peak summer to the city's Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays (during peak summer), Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays using the airline’s Boeing 737-800 fleet with one-way fares from Stansted starting at £37.

David Folkerd, London Stansted’s head of aviation and business development, said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of another new destination and airline to London Stansted's network, giving our passengers even more choice from their local airport.

"Rotterdam is a fabulous city to visit in its own right, and the added option of using Transavia’s extensive route network makes this new service even more exciting for travellers.”
