A Suffolk cafe owner says it is "very gratifying" to be named in the top 10 per cent of cafes worldwide. 

Oranges & Lemons in Rectory Hill, East Bergholt, has been handed the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award for 2024 for the second year in a row, having also received it in 2023.  

Oranges & Lemons has also been ranked by Trip Advisor as the third best cafe in all of Suffolk. 

Sharon and Pete Williets purchased the property in 2021 after the previous owners put it up for sale. 

"It makes a huge difference for people to take the time to make a good review," said Mrs Williets. 

Owning a cafe has always been something that Mrs Williets and her family wanted to do, so they took the plunge last year and brought the former King's head pub. 

"There's nothing standard about us and it feels quirky because it's a gift shop and a cafe where you can buy pretty much everything you see," Mrs Williets continued.

"I think it is also because we do good home cooked food like cakes and quiches with good quality ingredients."

The cafe also welcomes dogs and even has dog biscuits on hand for when customers decide to bring a furry friend.
