If you are collecting the Sports Equipment for Schools tokens from the EADT then don’t forget to keep collecting them over half term.
From Monday 28 October to Saturday 2 November, there will be eight bonus tokens printed in paper every single day, giving you a great chance to boost your school’s numbers.
Alongside the tokens regularly printed every day, that means there are 55 total tokens to collect over the course of half term.
Our Sports Equipment for Schools campaign offers schools the chance to win over £1,300 worth of new sports equipment, including long jumps, javelins, medicine balls, balance beams and much more. The winning school will also receive a school visit from an Olympic athlete.
If you work in a school and your school is not yet registered, this is also your last chance to sign up and be eligible for prizes. Schools who are collecting tokens must be signed up by Monday 4th November.
You can register at the following link: https://newsquest.wufoo.com/forms/sports-equipment-for-schools-register-suffolk/
With the bonus tokens being printed over half term, it’s not too late to start collecting. The winning school will be determined based on the average number of tokens collected per pupil, meaning schools of all sizes have the same chance of winning. Plus, all schools who collect at least 1,000 tokens will receive £250 worth of kit, so there’s something for everyone involved.
The campaign is being supported by Cambridge-based Great Athletes, a social enterprise with a mission to inspire every child to lead a more active, resilient and healthy life. This mission is achieved by bringing top athletes, Olympians, Paralympians, Invictus Games competitors to primary schools to run inspiring events at no cost to schools.
